About Us
The Teacher Net was originally set up by Andy Kent (Managing Director
of Angel Solutions) and Steve George (Deputy Head Teacher), mainly
in response to a lack of decent websites for teachers at the time.
We wanted to produce a site that was simple, easy to use and contained
high quality links to sites that would prove invaluable to teachers.
We also wanted to concentrate on the UK, rather than bombarding
teachers with thousands of websites, most of which were completely
irrelevant!
Computer Active voted us as the best Education website, even above
the BBC! quoting:
"Can one website provide hard pressed teachers with all the
resources they need, maybe not, but The Teacher Net has a jolly
good try"
The site has grown since it first went operational in 1998. We
added the facility to add/search for jobs online.
Our virtual postcards and certificate generator have proved to
be extremely popular.
Angel Solutions now continues to drive the site forward, keeping
the website as a free resource for teachers.
We continue to try to give teachers the best that's out there on
the web.
